A Fire gutted a neighbours home and the fire brigade had to smash out through the roof of Mr Channa’s property to gain access to the fire in the adjoining house. Mr Channa suffered smoke and fire damage to his house, it was also left vulnerable to the elements with the hole in the roof made by the fire brigade. We attended on the day of notification to weather proof the house and advised insurers of the situation. We met the appointed loss adjuster soon after and agreed the reinstatement required. Work was completed within a couple of weeks ensuring minimal disruption to the tenants who were a young family. Our quick reaction time meant no additional damage was caused to the house by the weather and the family renting the home were able to remain in the house throughout the work.
